Can meditation help us personally AND benefit a society filled with fear, intolerance, and existential threats to the natural world?  Our leaders seem to lack the required moral compass. How can “doing nothing” help solve the world’s increasingly desperate problems?

Meditation practice begins with an audience of one – our own minds. When we get past the rush of random thoughts and emotions, we discover human qualities that can move us beyond hope and fear – we uncover courage…dignity…insight…compassion. We gain a view that is wide, deep and inclusive. We find what we need for the challenges we face.

When we realize this strength of our shared humanity, it’s contagious. We begin to see how to budge what might seem impenetrable. Seemingly lost causes begin to turn toward openness and possibility; and finally, to irresistible strength. We might say we become the adult in the room.

Join us in exploring the capacity we all share to ripen what our hearts most long for – for ourselves and our world.
